News Café was opened in June of 2005 and is located in the plaza level of the Trumbull Professional Center. The center is home to Quest Diagnostic, Fairfield County Imaging, Aflac Insurance, Ciamei Wellness Center, St Vincent’s Hospital, as well as many others professionals. It is run and managed by two sisters, Stephanie and Nicole who have been in food service most of their lives. Stephanie has worked in many well known bars and restaurants in Manhattan and Nicole has a culinary degree and has worked in many well known restaurants through out Fairfield county.
At News Café we serve breakfast, lunch, take home dinners, and we also have catering services available. Whether it is corporate catering on premise or a dinner party of 60, we can handle all of your catering needs, large or small.

Our chef, Giuseppe D’amore from Sorrento, Italy studied classic Italian cooking while in his native country and has brought back many authentic and regional soups and dishes to News café. We proudly use all fresh ingredients to ensure that we only serve the best. Whenever possible we work with small producers, use green market vegetables and antibiotic and hormone free meat. Our specialty coffee comes from around the world and is imported by Jamaican Coffee Distributors. It is organic, kosher and practices fair-trade.


Our catering chef Sandra Degouva, has been working in food service for over twenty years. A native of Mexico, she prepares authentic Mexican food: quesadillas, burritos, taco salad bowls, and the best guacamole. She is truly an artist when it comes to garnishing catering trays with edible flowers, and making beautifully presented food.


We bring you all of these wonderful things at affordable prices in a casual setting. We are proud of what we serve and how we serve it. Free samples are always available.
